This is a marvel under the Lord’s sun:

by Kayla Eby

The writing of poetry is a
free thing. And
not yet claimed by the laws of
Predictability

It is the continual revolution
of a diamond in the glass,
the turning of the home turf,
the swiping of fog to see the
grasscape and beyond.
It is the rotation of a worldview
to bring the familiar back into focus.

It is to reach out the fingers
suffocated with boredom and blindness
reaching, reaching into forever,
till your bones crack and pop;
till, one day, you contact with
epiphany.

It is the sabotage of conformity,
The sneaking, the slip of curiosity
behind this cracked, counterfeit wall
to observe Truth.
Truth in its Zenith, not as a
decoration.

Till on the far side of the moon;
we discover the face
of the world.

Kayla Eby is a young woman actively learning how to sift through the flak of life to find the truth waiting in front of her nose.

  1. …til one day you contact with epiphany.

    Really like that. It’s so true.

    The sneaking, the slip of curiosity
    behind this cracked, counterfeit wall
    to observe Truth.

    Well said!
